RULES / RSVP

We here at The Mix Institute enjoy trading music via compact disc. It’s perhaps a bit outdated, but we still think it’s pretty nice to get a disc with a written/printed/laser etched/holographic tracklist attached.

Therefore, here is the score:

You RSVP.  You make a mix. For X RSVPs, you then make X-1 copies of your mix (taking into account your own RSVP). When we meet up to exchange, you get X-1 distinct mixes in return for the copies of your mix.

For example, should there be 20 RSVPs (including yourself), bring 19 discs to trade, get 19 in return. Simple! Easy!

While making your mix, please keep the following rules in mind:

  1. The mix must exist as an audio CD
  2. The mix must have a tracklist
  3. The mix must have a package
  4. The mix is open to any aesthetic or any collage thereof
  5. The mix is not constrained to any particular duration
  6. The mix takes time to make …
…thus, to guarantee receipt of fellow mixes, please RSVP below. Dig?

Stay tuned! - Next exchange TBA
